The Porsche 963 and the Ferrari 499P are the two defining Hypercars of the current endurance era — but they rarely fight on the same track. This comparison uses only race data: finishing positions, fastest-lap speed and classification status from every Le Mans and Daytona edition 2024–2026 in the ABXK dataset.
Where they actually meet: Le Mans. In both direct encounters — 2024 and 2025 — the Ferrari 499P finished ahead of the best Porsche 963 and won the race outright. The pace numbers back it up: the 499P set the higher fastest-lap speed in both editions, if only by a few tenths of a km/h. At Le Mans, on ultimate one-lap performance and on the result, Ferrari held the edge.
Where the 963 rules: Daytona. The Ferrari 499P does not contest the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Porsche 963 does — and won it three years running (2024–2026), a level of dominance the 499P has never had to answer. Judging the 963 only by Le Mans misses its actual home ground.
The verdict from the data. Head-to-head, the 499P is the stronger Le Mans car. But the two programs chase different crowns: Ferrari built the fastest 24-hour car at La Sarthe, Porsche the most reliable winner at Daytona. The tables below show every race each car entered — the duels, and the domains where they never crossed.
