Interlagos runs anticlockwise over 4.3 kilometers of elevation and bumps. The short lap makes traffic the defining factor of every WEC race here.

What it is

  • 4.309 km, 15 corners, run anticlockwise
  • One of the shortest laps on the WEC calendar
  • Built on uneven ground — the surface moves noticeably under load
  • Hosts the 6 Hours of São Paulo; earlier WEC visits ran under the same name

What it demands

A short lap with a full grid means constant traffic. Prototypes reach the back of the GT field within minutes of a stint and stay there, so the decisive skill is not one fast lap but the ability to lose as little as possible in every pass.

The Senna S and the climb to the start line reward commitment, while the flat middle section rewards a stable rear axle. Cars set up for the middle sector usually struggle in the S, and the fastest configurations are rarely the most comfortable ones.

Rain arrives quickly here and drains slowly at the bottom of the circuit, which produces the split-track conditions that show up in our hour-by-hour pace curves as sudden, uneven drops.
